ND delegation schedules flood meetings Saturday

WASHINGTON – North Dakota Congressman Earl Pomeroy and Sens. Byron Dorgan and Kent Conrad will conduct regional flood meetings in Valley City and Jamestown on Saturday to discuss the impact of flooding in those areas and what can be done to prepare for high water in the future.
The Valley City meeting starts at 8 a.m. in the Ag Country Credit Services Building, 220 Winter Show Road S.W. Officials have been invited from Valley City, Lisbon, Fort Ransom and Kindred, and Barnes and Ransom counties.
The Jamestown meeting is at 11:30 a.m. at the Stutsman County Law Enforcement Center, 205 6th St. S.E. Officials from LaMoure and Dickey counties, as well as communities on the James River, including Jamestown, LaMoure and Oakes, have been invited.
