Lyle Charles Becherl

Lyle Charles Becherl was born May 18, 1950 in Cooperstown, ND the son of Charles (Swede) and Dorothy (Heinz) Becherl. He grew up near Binford, ND and attended school there graduating from Binford High School.

He farmed in the Binford area, worked at Melroe, drove cattle truck and did carpentry work in the area. He married Dr. Rohini Kurtar June 24, 2003 in Hartford, CT. The couple made their home near Binford. Lyle loved baseball and was a die hard Yankees Fan. Lyle was a loving man and will be missed by everyone. He passed away June 26, 2009 in the Griggs County Hospital in Cooperstown, ND.

A quiet, private, spiritual and gentle man who touched many lives; he leaves his wife and soul mate Dr. Rohini Becherl, Binford, ND; his mother Dorothy Becherl, Binford, ND; his sister, Glenna (Jerry) Gruman, Hannaford, ND; one nephew, Gary Gruman, Clear Lake, SD; two nieces, Dr. Cynthia Gruman, Woodbridge, VA and Melisaa Sorenson, Woodbridge, VA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles (Swede) Becherl, his first wife Dawn Larson and his niece’s husband, Scott Sorenson. Lyle’s physical body will return to the land in as private a manner as he led is life.

There will be a Private Ceremony held at a later date.
