MeritCare's Roger Gilbertson announces retirement effective Tuesday

In an announcement to employees today, Dr. Roger Gilbertson, MeritCare’s chief executive, said he will retire effective Tuesday.
“It has been my pleasure and privilege to lead MeritCare Health System for the past 17 years and to have worked with all of you,” he wrote. “I am hon-ored to pass the torch to Kelby Krabbenhoft, the new CEO of Sanford Health-MeritCare, who will lead this great new organi-zation into the future. I will still be around for a while to aid with the transition in the role of president emeritus.”
