The Red River Basin Commission is hosting public forums in Lisbon and Valley City, N.D., as part of its Long Term Flood Solutions project.
The forums are to gather resident experiences, concerns and ideas to report to North Dakota and Minnesota legislatures to promote future flood control actions. The commission has mandates from the states to develop a flood damage reduction strategy for the basin.
The Lisbon forum will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 12 at the courthouse community room, 204 5th Ave. W.
The Valley City forum is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at Valley City High School High-Liner Activity Center, 460 Central Ave. N.
