Vivian T. Tang

Vivian T. Tang, 90 of Moorhead, MN, passed away at Villa Maria, Fargo, ND, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 10, 2009.

Vivian was born on August 28, 1919, in St. Thomas, ND, to Leo and Sophia (Stasek) Fox and grew up in Hoople, ND.

She married Sylvester Tang on April 28, 1947, in Sisseton, SD. Following their marriage they lived and farmed in Averill, MN. In 1959, they purchased the Star Lite Motel in Dilworth, MN, where they were owner/operators for many years. In the early 70's Vivian began working at American Crystal Sugar where she remained employed up until her retirement in the late 80's. Sylvester died January 1, 1967.

Vivian is survived by her children, Dennis Tang of Bismarck, ND, and Nancy (Les) Lomsdal of Moorhead; five grandchildren, Kevin (Lea) Tang, Sherry (Ken) Tang, Pamela (Ron) Lee, Dean (Wendee) Bartness and Brandi (Richard) Freeman; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one sister, Marie Bertrand; and three brothers, Cecil Fox, Kenneth Fox and Clement Fox.

Visitation for Vivian will be Thursday, November 12, 2009, from 5 –7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

The Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 13, 2009, at 1 PM, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.
