Leland A. Hockert, 58, Stafford, VA, died on Sat. Nov. 14, 2009 in his home under hospice care.

Mr. Hockert was born on March 13, 1951 in Jamestown, ND to Arthur and Mary Ann (Rausch) Hockert. He grew up in West Fargo, ND and graduated from West Fargo High School. Leland later attended North Dakota State University of Fargo. Lee then served four years in the US Air Force in Vietnam. He also worked for the Secret Service at the Pentagon. After his discharge, he bagan working as state contractor for car counters through out the US.

Leland was preceded in death by his father, Arthur.

He is survived by four children, Christopher (fiancé, Elizabeth Royal), Cassandra and Cody Lee Hockert all of Houston, TX, Tara Hockert, Stafford, VA; one grandchild, Inara; mother, Mary Ann Hockert, West Fargo, ND; sister, Janice (Richard) Rowell, Fort Mohave, AZ.

Visitation: Monday beginning at 5 p.m. in the West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND, with a prayer service at 5:30.

Memorial Mass: Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 at 10:30 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo, ND.

Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Dazey, ND at 2:30 also on Tuesday.
