REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. – A Wisconsin woman was killed and four from Redwood Falls were injured last night on icy roads near Morton.

The two-vehicle accident happened at 7:30 p.m. on Highway 19 in Renville County.

According to the state patrol, Margaret Buckley, 60, of Eau Claire, Wis. died after the 2009 Toyota Camry she was driving spun out of control on snow-covered roads, crossed the center line and was then struck broadside by a truck.

Buckley was taken to the Redwood Falls Hospital, where she died.

The second vehicle, a 2002 GMC Sierra, was driven by Jon Pettis, 39, of Redwood Falls.

Pettis, along with passengers, Bobbie Jo Parker, 35, Lynn Panitzke, 36, and Jessica Barnes, 33, all of Redwood Falls, were taken to the Redwood Hospital and treated for minor injuries. Morton is 110 miles west of Minneapolis.

Near Maynard, Minn., icy roads may be to blame for a two-vehicle accident that happened Wednesday night that injured four people, including an infant.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Seth Pasco, 22, of Brookings, S.D. was going north on state Highway 23 when he lost control of the 1994 Toyota Camry he was driving.

The car collided with a 1993 Chevrolet sport van driven by Cory Dandurland, 29, of Ivanhoe, who was going south on Highway 23.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries.

Dandurland’s one-year old daughter, Mia, was taken to the Granite Falls Hospital and treated for unknown injuries. Another passenger in the van, Amanda Callahan, 23, of Pillager, had minor injuries.

The accident was reported at 8:12 p.m. Road conditions were icy at the time, according to the state patrol.
