ND Guard gearing up for flood response

BISMARCK – The North Dakota National Guard is gearing up for spring flooding.

The Guard over the next four days will be developing a plan in the event soldiers are ordered to respond to a flood emergency. A three-day exercise is planned next month.

The preparation is done every year. Last spring, parts of North Dakota saw record spring flooding, and Guard soldiers were a big part of the state response.
