Former ND governor Schafer will be a guest on today's "Jay Thomas Show"

Former North Dakota Gov. Ed Schafer will be a guest today on “The Jay Thomas Show,” which airs on WDAY AM 970 beginning at 2 p.m.

Schafer plans to talk about why he and other area leaders prefer a Fargo-side diversion for permanent flood protection in the metropolitan area.

Schafer is part of a group which has met with political and public entities on both sides of the river, corps officials, engineers, area watershed districts and outlying cities and townships to try to convince them of the longterm and more encompassing benefits of a diversion.
