Officials will hold town hall meetings in five North Dakota communities in the coming weeks to help residents learn more about the 2010 flood outlook, flood insurance and flood preparation.

Officials will hold town hall meetings in five North Dakota communities in the coming weeks to help residents learn more about the 2010 flood outlook, flood insurance and flood preparation.

The meetings will provide information on what area residents can do to prepare for potential flooding.

The meetings:

  • Fargo Civic Center, 207 4th St., 2:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

  • Valley City High Liner Activity Center, 460 Center Ave. N., 6:30 to 8 p.m. on March 1.

  • Devils Lake City Hall, Commissioners Room, 423 6th St. N.E., 6:30 to 8 p.m. on March 2.

  • Cavalier Law Enforcement Center, 308 Court House Drive, 6:30 to 8 p.m. on March 2

  • Minot City Administration Building, Room 201, 420 3rd Ave. N.E., 6:30 to 8 p.m. on March 3.

These town hall meetings are part of a series of outreach and education efforts the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services and the Federal Emergency Management Agency are conducting to help residents prepare for potential spring flooding in 2010.
