The corporate offices for Sanford Health & MeritCare’s north region will be on the 14th floor of the Radisson Hotel in downtown Fargo.
Earlier, the health system, which also has corporate offices in Sioux Falls, S.D., announced plans for housing executive offices for the north region in the Wells Fargo Bank in downtown Fargo.
The office space in the Wells Fargo building will be used for the Sanford Health Plan, the MeritCare Health Network, public affairs, marketing and human resources, spokesman Darren Huber said.
“We remain committed to corporate leadership being available in both locations,” he said. “It’s important.”
The office space on the 14th floor of the Radisson Hotel was not available when the Wells Fargo site was chosen, he said.
Both office locations should be done this summer.
The office space in the Radisson, where MeritCare already holds many board meetings and executive meetings, is convenient.
Ultimately, Sanford Health & MeritCare plans to consolidate offices now scattered among several locations at a yet-to-be determined location with 150,000 square feet.
A similar consolidated office center is planned in Sioux Falls, and will be ready this summer.
Administrators are still formulating a comprehensive facility plan for MeritCare in Fargo-Moorhead, including possible development of its land at Agassiz Crossing in southwest Fargo.
The comprehensive space-use plan will be done in June as part of Sanford-MeritCare’s strategic plan.
Kelby Krabbenhoft, Sanford-MeritCare’s chief executive, said before the November merger of the two health systems that he envisions a major medical center in five years or so at Agassiz Crossing, located near 45th Street south of Interstate 94.
