Allegiant Air is temporarily suspending some of its flights out of Fargo early this fall.
The last flight between Fargo and Orlando in August is the 21st. Flights between the cities resume Oct. 14.
Flights from Fargo to Los Angeles are also temporarily suspended this fall. The last flight between Fargo and Los Angeles is Sept. 28. Flights between the cities resume Nov. 18.
Flights from Fargo to Las Vegas and Phoenix continue uninterrupted.
The temporary suspensions are common procedure for the airline, said Darren Anderson, Fargo Municipal Airport Authority assistant director.
He said it’s like other airlines reducing the number of flights offered during slow times of the year, but Allegiant does not offer daily service.
“It’s a normal, seasonal thing because it’s a vacation-type airline,” Anderson said. “They’ve always done that.”
Allegiant caters to vacation travelers, and there are certain times of the year when people tend not to travel to certain destinations, Anderson said.
