Republican Senate candidate Gov. John Hoeven continues to out-fundraise his Democratic-NPL challenger by the millions.
Since Hoeven began his Senate bid in early January, he has raised more than $2.41 million, compared to the more than $80,100 Bismarck state Sen. Tracy Potter has raised since his campaign began in early February.
Hoeven’s campaign reported more than $1 million received from supporters during the second quarter of 2010, which includes contributions received between April 1 and June 30.
As of June 30, the Hoeven campaign reported about $1.64 million in cash on hand to spend – including $100,000 Hoeven previously loaned his campaign.
Meanwhile, Potter’s campaign reported $61,490 raised in the second quarter of 2010.
The campaign had $61,558 in cash on hand as of June 30 and also reported about $500 in debts owed.
The campaigns’ second-quarter financial reports were due to the Federal Election Commission on July 15.
