FARGO -- Orthopaedic Associates of Fargo and Sanford Health have officially merged, the final step in a negotiation process that was first acknowledged this summer, the organizations announced today.
The OA building at 2301 25th St. S.W., Fargo, will become Sanford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. In a few months, all outpatient Sanford Fargo orthopedic physicians and staff will be moved to that single location to streamline care for patients.
"We are building the largest orthopedic and sports medicine practice in the region, this represents a major leap forward for our vision of establishing Sanford as a center of excellence for orthopedics and sports medicine," said Kelby Krabbenhoft, Sanford Health president and CEO. "We have the great reputations, leadership and high quality services of the OA and Sanford physicians and staff to not only be the provider of choice locally but also to expand beyond our borders to advance health care on a national level."
"Orthopaedic Associates of Fargo has had a long term commitment of excellence in orthopedics and sports medicine in the Red River Valley. Sanford Health's focus on expanding high quality care to patients and strengthening community partnerships matches our own. I am optimistic about what we can do together both here and across the region," said Dr. Mark Lundeen, Orthopaedic Associates.
