Children’s author to visit Carlson library

Children’s author Kyle Mewburn will visit the Dr. James Carlson Library at 2801 32nd Ave. S., Fargo, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Children’s author Kyle Mewburn will visit the Dr. James Carlson Library at 2801 32nd Ave. S., Fargo, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Mewburn, the author of several children’s books including “Scruffy Cat” and “Duck’s Stuck,” is a former sports reporter, teacher, traffic counter and kibbutz worker who now lives in New Zealand.

Mewburn is a 2010 North Dakota Library Association Flicker Tale Book Award winner for his picture book “Kiss! Kiss! Yuck! Yuck!” His visit will include a book sale and signing.

He is on a tour to libraries and elementary schools across North Dakota. This is Mewburn’s first visit to the U.S.
