Making Lefse, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Sons of Norway, 722 2nd Ave. N., Fargo. Continue the Scandinavian family tradition of making lefse with your family; learn all the basic techniques of the Scandinavian treat including preparation, rolling and grilling and, of course, sampling! On the Vineyard Benefit, 6:30 p.m., Holiday Inn, 3803 13th Ave. S., Fargo. Live and silent auction, wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, dessert, music by 42nd Street Jazz; proceeds benefit the salon at Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead.
Saturday
A Fabulous Fondue Party, 8:15 to 10:30 a.m., Creative Kitchen, West Acres Shopping Center, Fargo. The 1970s craze is as hot as ever, and we want to share some of our favorite recipes with you, including a classic cheese fondue with bread, cheesy pesto with veggies, mixed grill meat and chocolate rum fondue with strawberries and angel food cake. $15-$19.
