NDSU gets permission to change arena's name to Sanford Health Athletic Complex

GRAND FORKS - North Dakota State University received permission today to change the name of the Bison Sports Arena to the Sanford Health Athletic Complex.

The state Board of Higher Education unanimously approved NDSU's request during a meeting at the University of North Dakota.

Sanford Health donated $10 million toward the $32 million campaign to renovate the facility. It's the largest one-time donation in the history of the NDSU Development Foundation.

NDSU President Dean Bresciani said the partnership with Sanford Health presents many opportunities with athletics, economic development, academics and research.
