Weekend Watch: Winter weekend in the parks

The greens are covered in snow, but there will still be plenty of activity at Edgewood Golf Course, 19 Golf Course Drive, Fargo, during Saturday’s Family Winter-ific Day. Things start off with cross-country ski races

at 9:30 a.m., but less competitive activities take over from 1 to 4 p.m. with recreational cross-country skiing, snowshoe rentals, and horse-drawn sleigh rides. (701) 499-6060. West Fargo celebrates its own winter wonderland on Sunday with Frosty Fun in Elmwood Park, 500 13th Ave. W. from 1 to 3 p.m. This event is part of the park district’s Winter Days, through Jan. 22. Families can take part in sleigh and SnoBear rides, a sledding parade, snow dig for prizes, winter archery, kid’s winter crafts, snowshoe demos and races.
