MINNEAPOLIS — A Minnesota baby started his life in the fast lane.
Jabnia Sanchez's sister-in-law was rushing her to the hospital Wednesday. She knew there was little time to spare because Sanchez was ready to give birth. Sanchez says she tried to remain calm because her 2-year-old daughter was in the minivan. Then Sanchez knew she couldn't stop the inevitable. She shouted "Call 911!" as they sped down the express lane on Interstate 394 in Minneapolis.
Her sister-in-law pulled over and together with Sanchez's mother, a front seat passenger, helped deliver the 8-pound, 3-ounce baby boy as Wednesday morning commuters sped by.
The Star Tribune says Sanchez and her husband named him Enzi.
