Michaelson-Slinde

Mandy Michaelson and Jared Slinde, Coon Rapids, Minn., announce their engagement.

Parents are Dave and Shelly Michaelson, Dickinson, N.D.; and Sanford and Gail Slinde, Velva, N.D.

Mandy graduated in 2000 from Dickinson High School and in 2004 graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. She graduated in 2008 from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, with a pharmacy doctorate. She is a pharmacist at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, St. Paul.

Jared graduated in 2001 from Velva High School and in 2005 graduated from NDSU with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication. He graduated in 2007 from NDSU with a master’s degree in sport and recreation management. He is a media information manager at USA Track & Field, Indianapolis.

A July 16 wedding is planned at Horace (N.D.) Lutheran Church, followed by a reception at the Ramada Plaza and Suites, Fargo.
