FARGO – Triumph Hospital in Fargo has changed its name.
It will now be called Kindred Hospital Fargo, said Custer Huseby, CEO of the hospital, which rents space on the second floor of Sanford South University and primarily serves eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota.
“This is a name change only and does not affect operations in any way,” Huseby said.
“Under the Kindred banner, we will continue to provide the same high-quality services that our customers have come to expect,” Huseby added.
Kindred Hospital Fargo is part of a national network of long-term acute care facilities held by Kindred Healthcare.
There is no connection between Kindred Healthcare and the North Dakota town of Kindred, Huseby said.
Kindred Hospital Fargo is an acute care hospital with 31 beds and serves patients that require extended time in the hospital.
Huseby said 99 percent of patients come from other area hospitals, including Sanford Health and Essentia Health in Fargo and Altru Health in Grand Forks.
