Medica awards $272K in grants
MINNETONKA, Minn. – The Medica Foundation has awarded $272,000 in grants to 16 health-related organizations in eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota.
MINNETONKA, Minn. – The Medica Foundation has awarded $272,000 in grants to 16 health-related organizations in eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota.
Area organizations receiving grants:
- Children’s Dental Service, $100,000, to be used to expand its school-based dental services program in Moorhead and Fargo regions.
- Frazier Ltd., Fargo, $50,000 to be used to add behavioral health specialist to help youth establish and implement independent living goals in a safe, alternative environmental to local shelters and life on the streets.
- Project Hero, Fargo, $5,000 to be used to support health-related programming core to the organization’s mission, which is to collect and redistribute donated health care materials to benefit those in need.
These programs also received grants to support health-related programming core to their missions: Family Health Center, Fargo, $5,000; Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley, Fargo, $5,000; and South Central Adult Services Council, Fargo, $1,500.
