Draxten-Zakopyko

Katie Draxten and Daniel Zakopyko, Colorado Springs, Colo., announce their engagement.

Parents are Barry Draxten, Grantsburg, Wis.; Karin Roseland, Moorhead; Alan Zakopyko, Grand Forks; and Jewel Shelton, Herrin, Ill.

Katie graduated in 2009 from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, integrated advertising and public relations. She is employed by UBM TechWeb, Colorado Springs.

Daniel graduated in 2009 from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and military science. He has served with the U.S. Army since 2002.

A July 6 wedding is planned, followed by a reception at the Ramada Plaza and Suites, Fargo.
