BISMARCK — Airline boardings at North Dakota's eight commercial airports in June were up 15 percent from last year.
State aviation officials say more than 84,600 people boarded planes during the month at Bismarck, Devils Lake, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, Jamestown, Minot and Williston.
That total was up from 73,100 in June 2011.
Officials say nearly 507,000 people have flown through the North Dakota airports so far this year, which is already more than all of 2011.
State Aeronautics Commissioner Larry Taborsky says the state has been continually breaking monthly boarding records for almost two straight years.
Taborsky says travelers in the state are “coming from and going to all sorts of places.”
