Joel & Sharon Dotzenrod

Joel and Sharon (Hager) Dotzenrod, Battle Lake, Minn., formerly Wyndmere and Wahpeton, N.D., will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary at an open house hosted by their children from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at their home at 34858 Deer Lake Road, Battle Lake. No gifts, please.

They were married Aug. 26, 1972, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Wyndmere.

Joel is a crop adjuster for RCIS and Sharon owned Buds, Blooms and Antiques in Breckenridge, Minn., until 2010.

They have four children, Jill (Will) Lane, Fargo; Ryan (Ali) Dotzenrod, Lakeville, Minn.; Julie (Erick) Carlson, Breckenridge; and Ashley (Wade) Gerner, Mooreton, N.D..; and nine grandchildren.
