Forum editorial: Chickens top their agenda?

Moorhead is trying to fix streets that are like a lunar landscape. The city’s traffic flow is a nightmare because of mismanaged rail crossings and delays in downtown street projects.

The city’s traffic flow is a nightmare because of mismanaged rail crossings and delays in downtown street projects.

Business flight to Fargo is endemic.

Parking problems near two college campuses never get solved.

On thoroughfares, rundown, unpainted, shabby buildings in forests of weeds give the city a “who cares?” look.

And what’s on some residents’ agenda? Chickens. Tonight they’ll watch a chicken movie, the aim of which is to make a case for urban chickens in Moorhead backyards. Then they’ll talk turkey about raising chickens.

Here’s hoping the City Council can spend many hours on this “urgent” matter. Cluck, cluck, cluck.
