New dialysis center opens on North Dakota reservation

BELCOURT, N.D. — A new kidney dialysis center has opened on the Turtle Mount Indian Reservation in northern North Dakota.

BELCOURT, N.D. — A new kidney dialysis center has opened on the Turtle Mount Indian Reservation in northern North Dakota.

The Minot Daily News reports that the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, Trinity Health and Indian Health Service celebrated the grand opening of the center during a ceremony this past week.

The tribe raised $1.7 million to build the facility. It replaces an older clinic.

The new facility in Belcourt can serve up to 36 patients a day.
