MINOT, N.D. — Construction of a new terminal at Minot International Airport will move the administration offices and car rental desks to the new wing.
Airport director Andrew Solsvig tells the Minot Daily News (http://bit.ly/T42YSf) that the terminal design is about 35 percent complete and should be 65 percent complete by October. The goal is to deliver a completed project to the Minot City Council in January.
The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded $7.8 million to the Minot airport for the ongoing planning and construction of airport infrastructure projects, including the new terminal.
A portion of the money will go to continue rehabilitation on a portion of taxiway C. The project came in more than $1 million over the estimate, so additional federal dollars were sought to cover that cost.
