Ternes-Mears

Julie Ternes, Fargo, and Ryan Mears, Casselton, N.D., announce their engagement.

Parents are Edwin and the late Barbara Ternes, Strasburg, N.D.; and Emery and Annette Mears, Rolla, N.D.

Julie graduated from Strasburg High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mary, Bismarck, and graduated with her doctorate in nursing from North Dakota State University in 2011. She is employed as a nurse practitioner in the internal medicine department at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo.

Ryan graduated from Rolla High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1997. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in educational leadership from North Dakota State University. He is employed as a teacher for the Central Cass School District in Casselton.

An Oct. 19 wedding is planned at Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo, with the reception and dance to follow at the Hilton Garden Inn.
