Johnston-Word

Ellie Johnston and Zack Word, Minot, N.D., announce their engagement.

Parents are Richard and Helena Johnston, Fargo; and Scott and Brenda Word, Pierre, S.D.

Ellie graduated in 2003 from Grafton (N.D.) High School and from North Dakota State University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in dietetics. She graduated in 2012 with a doctorate in physical therapy from St. Catherine University, Minn. She is employed as a physical therapist for Trinity Health Care, Minot.

Zack graduated in 2003 from T.F. Riggs High School, Pierre, and from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in social science. He is pursuing a master’s degree from Central Michigan University. He has served in the U.S. Air Force since 2004 and is currently a captain stationed in Minot.

A Sept. 22 wedding is planned at Hope Lutheran Church – North Campus, Fargo, with the reception and dance to follow at the Plains Art Museum.
