Moorhead police plan drug take-back program

MOORHEAD – The Moorhead Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration have partnered with Walgreen’s stores in Moorhead to accept expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday.

MOORHEAD – The Moorhead Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration have partnered with Walgreen’s stores in Moorhead to accept expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday.

Medications will be accepted from 10 a.m. to noon in a lock box at the store on Eighth Street and Main Avenue and from noon to 2 p.m. at the store at Eighth Street and 30th Avenue South.

The service is free and anonymous. Pills can be left in a bottle or put in a resealable bag. Liquids should be sealed in a bottle and secured in a resealable bag. Needles should not be put into the lock box.
