Land-Van De Velde

Sarah Land and Tyler Van De Velde announce their engagement.

Parents are Barry and Nancy Land, Fargo; Patrick and Diane Mertens, Devils Lake, N.D.; and the late Keith Van De Velde.

Sarah graduated in 2006 from Fargo South High School, and in 2010 she graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in emergency management. She graduated in 2012 from the University of North Texas with a master’s degree in public administration. She is an emergency management specialist with the South Dakota Office of Emergency Management, Pierre.

Tyler graduated in 2006 from Devils Lake High School, and in 2011 he graduated from NDSU with a bachelor’s degree in natural resource management. He is a range technician with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

An Oct. 20 wedding is planned at Hope Lutheran Church South Campus, followed by a reception at the Ramada Plaza and Suites, both in Fargo.
