William “Skip” and Charlo (Peterson) Shirley, Fargo, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 6. Their children will serve cake and coffee from 10 to 11 a.m. today at First Lutheran Church, Fargo.

They were married Oct. 6, 1962, at First Lutheran Church, Minot, N.D.
They have three children, Deb Shirley (Glenn Lyden), Rochester, Minn.; Chris (Paul) Brendemuhl, Glyndon, Minn.; and Steve (Jennifer) Shirley, Valley City, N.D.; and two granddaughters, Shelby Marie and Anna Marie.
