Marvin & Minnie Ries

Marvin and Minnie (Rohweller) Ries, Alice, N.D., will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Seasons at Rose Creek, 1500 Rose Creek Parkway East, Fargo. No gifts, please.

They were married Oct. 18, 1952, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church near Perham, Minn.

They have nine children, Val (Denny) Pommerer, Jamestown, N.D.; Randy (Laurie) Ries, Buffalo N.D.; Becky (Jim) Gill, Breckenridge, Minn.; Rick Ries, Casselton N.D.; John (Sarah) Ries, West Fargo; Amy (Erling) Johnson, Thief River Falls, Minn.; Sarah (Paal) Tveit, Salt Lake City; and Jennifer (Rollie) Cooper and Jerry (Sharon) Ries, Moorhead; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
