Kent & Mardell Bartl

Kent and Mardell (Smith) Bartl, Kindred, N.D., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, with a program at 4, in the Kindred Memorial Building. No gifts, please.

They were married Oct. 20, 1962, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Lisbon, N.D.

They have four children, Lorie (Chad) Kortgard, Shakopee, Minn.; Becky (John) Flaa, Abercrombie, N.D.; Angie Hochhalter (Chad Gunter), Fargo; and Vikki (Ryan) Nielsen, Barnesville, Minn.; and nine grandchildren, Alex and Joshua Kortgard, Travor and Teddy Flaa, Dustin and Ashley Hochhalter, and Megan, Emma and Jack Nielsen.
