Donald and Ila Weed celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a gathering at their home in Jud, N.D.
Donald and Ila Weed celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a gathering at their home in Jud, N.D.
On Oct. 11, 1952, they were the first couple to be married at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Devils Lake, N.D.
They have seven children, Rick (Lillian) and Patty (Bruce) Besse, Soldotna, Alaska; Randy (Lynda), Tok, Alaska; Bonnie (Steve) Heit, Bismarck; Kathy (Ron) Volk, Fargo; Mary Lou (Al) Holtz, Ypsilanti, N.D.; and Lori Ann (Barry) Schwan, Devils Lake; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. They also had a son, Rodney, who died in infancy.
