FARGO – It’s Black Friday, and the holiday shopping season has officially kicked off.
Whether you’re braving the stores today or waiting for a slightly less hectic time to shop, here are some tips from Oded Berkowitz, founder and CEO of Clipix, to help you shop successfully, whether on foot or online, this holiday season.
1. Breakfast before bargains
Eat before you hit the stores so you can concentrate on shopping without being distracted by the temptations of the food court.
2. Strategy is key
Make a list of the items you want to buy ahead of time and stick to your list. Don’t browse until you’ve finished shopping.
3. Utilize technology
Set price alerts on items you have your eye on and receive up-to-the-minute updates on when sales hit. Clipix offers free sales alerts.
4. Divide and conquer
Shop with a partner to save time by each taking half of the shopping list.
5. Clip coupons
Take advantage of early-bird coupons, pay attention to when the sales are applicable, and plan your store strategy accordingly.
