Thursday review: New beverage bubbles to the top of my list

Giving up drinking soda wasn’t difficult until about 3 p.m. every day, when I would sit at my desk longing for my afternoon trip to the vending machine.
I drank what seemed like gallons of water, but my thirst (or craving) still wasn’t quenched. I missed the bubbles and maybe just the sense of indulgence in the ritual of popping the tab on a can of Diet Coke.
At home I became a fan of sparkling mineral water, but it wasn’t until Perrier introduced its adorable little “slim cans” that my
3 o’clock conundrum came to a close.
The zero-calorie beverage comes unflavored or with a twist of natural lime or grapefruit, and at 8.5 ounces, they’re the perfect size for a quick sip.
Because they’re smaller than the average soda can, they’re a good option for throwing in your bag for a meeting or lunch. The size also makes them perfect for after-work mixed drinks.
The cans retail for about $6 for a 10-pack, and I’ve found them at both Target and Costco.
