Brian M. Blauert, 49, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Wednesday at his parents' home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 14 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Detroit Lakes, Pastors Fred Crowell and Joel Kratzke, officiating. Interment will be in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery, rural Detroit Lakes.

Friends may call 4:00 – 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 8:00 PM Sunday at the David-Donehower Funeral Home and at the church 1 hour prior to the service on Monday.

Brian Marvin Blauert was born September 29, 1963 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Marvin and Myrtle “Dolly” Blauert. He was raised and educated in the Detroit Lakes-Frazee area and is a 1982 graduate of Frazee (MN) High School. Brian was united in marriage to Stacy Haataja June 24, 1989 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Height of Land Township, rural Frazee, MN and again on December 22, 2011 in Santa Barbara, CA. During his working life, he was a professional trucker and most recently for BM Trucking. He also hauled potatoes for Manning trucking for many years. He retired in September, 2012 because of ill health.

Brian enjoyed time with his family, gardening, canning, hunting, fishing, singing and wrestling with his grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, Stacy of Detroit Lakes, three children: Jason of Detroit Lakes, Robby (Jamie Pollack) of Frazee, MN, Jolene (Curtis Day) of Fargo, ND, three grandchildren: Brandon Morin, Jason Haataja and Migizii Manzi; his parents: Marvin and Myrtle “Dolly” Blauert of Detroit Lakes, a sister: Jackie (Jerry) Strehlow of Detroit Lakes.
