Synthetic drug dangers topic of presentation

FARGO – Frank White, associate professor of sociology at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, will give a free presentation on “Alcopos, AMEDs and SLIDs: What you Don’t Know Can Hurt You” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Hall at NDSU.

FARGO – Frank White, associate professor of sociology at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, will give a free presentation on “Alcopos, AMEDs and SLIDs: What you Don’t Know Can Hurt You” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Hall at NDSU.

White will focus on raising awareness about the dangers of synthetic drugs and the lethal combination of alcohol and energy drinks.

He will cover the various street names, signs and symptoms of usage, risk factors, side effects, legal concerns and current marketing strategies directed at adolescents and young adults.

Continuing education credits are available for $10.
