VIP Room hosts annual bacon dinner

FARGO – The VIP Room, 624 Main Ave., Fargo, hosts its annual bacon dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The evening starts off with what’s called an “appetizer pig-out” with BLT sliders, sweet bacon and caramel sauce and more. A roasted apple soul topped with pancetta follows.

A bleu cheese-stuffed filet wrapped in bacon with a scallion potato galette, buttered sugar snap peas and a bacon and mushroom cognac sauce is the entrée.

Dessert is a mascarpone-stuffed cannoli topped with praline caramel sauce, citrus Chantilly and candied sweet bacon.

Wines paired with bacon have been selected for the dinner for an extra cost.

The meal is $45 with bacon-paired wines available for an extra charge.
