FARGO – Cass-Clay Creamery will air a TV ad for the first time in more than a decade and during one of the most coveted slots of advertising time.
The ad will air during the Super Bowl game on Feb. 3.
The spot aims to welcome people to “Cass-Clay Country.”
“(The ad) features Cass-Clay milk, but it’s really about the brand itself,” said Rachel Kyllo, vice president of marketing at Cass-Clay Creamery. “Cass-Clay is this awesome thing that belongs to North Dakota, and it’s kind of a secret that only North Dakotans know about.”
The ad will showcase four iconic landmarks across North Dakota, including the Fargo Theatre and the Valley City, N.D., railroad bridge.
Kyllo said the ad will be shown once during the third quarter of the big game between San Francisco and Baltimore, only in North Dakota.
After a roughly 10-year hiatus from television advertising, Kyllo said the company wanted to do something special to kick off a 2013 advertising campaign for the brand.
“We thought what better way to do that than during the Super Bowl,” she said. “We’re excited to re-introduce the Cass-Clay brand through television.”
After the Feb. 3 ad runs, it will not be shown again until March when the brand campaign begins.
In anticipation of the ad’s release, Cass-Clay Creamery is giving away free Cass-Clay products to families willing to show their milk moustaches and post them on Facebook.
