FARGO – Ice cube trays aren’t only for water. You can freeze just about anything and add fruit or herbs.
Creative ice cubes add flavor and color to your favorite drinks without diluting them. Here are three to try:
• Citrus slices. Fill a muffin tin with water and lemon, lime or orange slices to make citrusy punch-bowl ice.
• Champagne. Freeze leftover champagne in an ice cube tray and drop a few into flutes of orange juice for easy weekend Mimosas.
• Coffee. Use coffee ice cubes in place of regular ice cubes to prevent watered-down iced coffee, or drop ’em in a tumbler of Bailey’s.
