Lester & Erna Ellingson

Lester and Erna (Lee) Ellingson, Grand Forks, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Feb. 21 with their family at Doolittle’s Woodfire Grill, Fargo. There will also be a celebration for them from 2 to 4 p.m. July 5 at the Community Center, Maddock, N.D.

They were married Feb. 21, 1943, at the Lutheran parsonage in Maddock.

They have six children, Lester Jr. (Cheryl) Ellingson, Maddock; Gale (Michiyo) Ellingson, Woodland, Calif.; Terry Ellingson and Dennis (Liane) Ellingson, all of Fargo; Donna (Kevin) Ankenbauer, San Antonio; and Sandi (Monty) Stensland, Grand Forks; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
