Dale Joseph Kubousek, 57, passed away peacefully with family present on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Mayo Clinic - Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN after a brief and hard-fought battle with lung cancer. Dale was born to John and Ann (Tupa) Kubousek on March 16, 1955 in Grafton, North Dakota.

After high school graduation he farmed in the Forest River, ND area until moving to Mitchell, SD in 1998 where he worked for Big Green, Inc. Dale continued to be active in agriculture and was most currently employed with Ag Systems in Mitchell.

Dale enjoyed his work, his family, and his friends. He was a proud uncle-jovial, loving, caring, gentle, and always interested in the comings and goings of his nieces and nephews. He especially enjoyed his time with his great nephew, Jack Allen. The word 'complain' was not in his vocabulary, and he was a model patient during this short illness. All who knew Dale were touched by his humor and fun loving character.

He will be deeply missed by brothers Marvin (Sandy), Leonard (Lynn), Jack; sister Sharon (Joe); sister-in-law Lynda; nieces and nephews Kirk (Melissa), Kyle, Charlie (Amanda), Kristina (Bryce), Kate (Nick), and Joe; great nephew Jack Allen; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Allen, and nephew Scott Skavlem.

Dale's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Mary's Hospital and Methodist Hospital (Mayo Clinic) in Rochester, Minnesota and Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, South Dakota.
