LeMoyne R. Olson, 91, died February 25 at Parkside Lutheran Home in Lisbon, ND.

LeMoyne was born in Lisbon on August 9, 1921 to Richard and Augusta Olson. He attended school in Lisbon and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was 100% Swede and proud of it! LeMoyne married the love of his life, Margaret Peterson, on October 5, 1940. They had four children and enjoyed 72 years of marriage together. They lived and farmed for many years in rural Lisbon. They moved into Lisbon in 1980.

LeMoyne R. Olson, 91, died February 25 at Parkside Lutheran Home in Lisbon, ND.

LeMoyne was born in Lisbon on August 9, 1921 to Richard and Augusta Olson. He attended school in Lisbon and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was 100% Swede and proud of it! LeMoyne married the love of his life, Margaret Peterson, on October 5, 1940. They had four children and enjoyed 72 years of marriage together. They lived and farmed for many years in rural Lisbon. They moved into Lisbon in 1980.

LeMoyne and Margaret traveled south for 29 winters, spending most of those years in Arizona, which they thoroughly enjoyed. They would go dancing 3 to 4 times a week. But above all, they loved to entertain, play card games, and spend time with their many friends. Family was also very important and LeMoyne dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

LeMoyne is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Gayle (Loren) Steele, Aberdeen, SD; Rodney (Connie) Olson, Lisbon; and Lyle (Barbara) Olson, Lisbon. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a brother, Charles (Ruth) Olson, Fargo; sister-in-law, June Olson, Fergus Falls, MN; sister-in-law, Joyce (Melvin) Lang, Walla Walla, WA; sister-in-law Eunice Peterson, Enderlin, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill, Raymond, Merle, Robert, and infant brother Glen; sisters, Evelyn Bleeker, Minnie Anderson, Dorothy Arntson, Beverly Balderson; daughter Susan Olson, and great grandson Matthew Olson.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 1 from 5-7pm at Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon, ND.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2 at 10:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisbon, ND.

Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon, is in charge of arrangements.
