FARGO – Area diners will soon have something new to smile about.
A new Smiling Moose Deli is expected to open in early May in the Kilbourne Building at 102 Broadway.
The deli will be the second Smiling Moose in Fargo owned by Williston native Nathan Everson. The first opened last summer at 2877 45th St. S.
He decided to open an additional location in response to feedback from people who lived and worked in downtown Fargo and Moorhead.
“It was really customer demand,” Everson said. “With being located in south Fargo, it’s not easy for people who work downtown to drive all the way out to us, especially over the lunch hour.”
The deli will serve made-to-order salads, soups and sandwiches.
It will also offer a full coffee bar and breakfast options – including burritos, sandwiches and assorted pastries.
Everson also thinks their catering business will do well downtown. The deli will cater both lunch and breakfast.
The approximately 1,600-square-foot deli will offer seating for 40 indoors with an additional 12 to 15 seats outside along First Avenue North.
The Smiling Moose Deli franchise was founded in 2003 in Colorado and has since added locations in North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Texas and Indiana.
