Paul Ormbreck, 84, of Ulen, MN died Sunday, April 28, 2013 in Sanford Health Systems, Fargo, ND.

David Paul Ormbreck was born to Christian and Christine (Vesterheim) Ormbreck on February 26, 1929 in Ulen. Paul attended school in Ulen where he graduated from Ulen High School with the class of 1948. He then attended Grand Forks Commercial College earning a certificate in business in 1949. Paul started his career in banking with Northwestern State Bank in Ulen. He moved through a number of responsibilities and at retirement in 1992, was in charge of the bank's insurance department. He remained on their board of directors for a number of years.

David Paul Ormbreck was born to Christian and Christine (Vesterheim) Ormbreck on February 26, 1929 in Ulen. Paul attended school in Ulen where he graduated from Ulen High School with the class of 1948. He then attended Grand Forks Commercial College earning a certificate in business in 1949. Paul started his career in banking with Northwestern State Bank in Ulen. He moved through a number of responsibilities and at retirement in 1992, was in charge of the bank's insurance department. He remained on their board of directors for a number of years.

Paul was an enthusiastic supporter of civic activities in the Ulen community. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department, the Ulen Clinic Board of Directors, the Civic and Commerce Association and the Lions. For over 50 years Paul enjoyed fishing on northern Canadian lakes and on White Earth Lake where he maintained a cabin. He loved to travel, going to all parts of the United States and Canada. He visited the New York World's Fair in 1964 and the Montreal World's Fair in 1968.

Paul is survived by his brothers, Clayton of Ulen, MN and Harlan (Sharon) of Fargo, ND and cousin, Lois (Ron) King of Mechanicsburg, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Neal.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Denise Snow and the caregivers at Roger Maris Cancer Center, Sanford Hospital and the Viking Manor Nursing Home for their loving care.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen. A time of gathering will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Rueckert with special music provided by Carol Lockhart and Susan Green. Urn bearer will be Jim Andersen.

Inurnment will be in West Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Ulen.
