FARGO – I had been reading about harmful chemicals in beauty products when I received an email to try a free sample of Lavanila Laboratories’ new Healthy Fragrance in Vanilla Blackberry.
I was intrigued. I tend to favor vanilla perfumes anyway and Lavanila Laboratories makes beauty products with organic ingredients, free from harsh chemicals.
The company calls it “The Healthy Fragrance.”
It’s made with natural ingredients like organic sugar cane, a botanical fragrance blend, oat amino acids, and the extracts of fruit, herbs, olive leaf, and chamomile. It does not contain things like petrochemicals, phthalates, sulfates and parabens.
I was impressed by the ingredients and pleasantly surprised by the fragrance. Overwhelming scents tend to bother me, but I really liked Lavanila Laboratories Vanilla Blackberry Fragrance.
It does smell like vanilla and berries. It has a sweet, warm fragrance with floral undertones that lasts a couple of hours.
The 1.7 ounce fragrance sells for $58, the .32 ounce roller-ball sells for $19, and the 2 ounce deodorant sells for $14. It’s available at Sephora and lavanila.com.
