FARGO – To get your kids to eat more veggies, think inside the icebox.
For some strange reason, kids love frozen peas.
They do have the consistency of a large Dippin’ Dot, but they still taste like peas. Yet every time I take peas out of the freezer to cook, my 9-year-old daughter excitedly asks for a bowl of frozen peas. My 2-year-old son also eagerly gobbles them up with her and then asks for more.
I didn’t think this was a common preference among kids, but I’ve since heard other mothers mention it as well, so if you’re having trouble getting your kids to eat enough vegetables, try something different and offer them a bowl of frozen peas.
You don’t even have to add salt and butter.
